1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Auto Hookup (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do
not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, buyers, sellers, and verified
dealers.
2. Platform Services
Auto Hookup provides a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of vehicles in Nigeria, along with ancillary
services including vehicle inspections, documentation assistance, financing referrals, and dealer tools. We
act as an intermediary and are not the seller of vehicles listed by third-party dealers unless explicitly
stated.
3. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when registering, listing, or enquiring about vehicles.
- Not use the Platform for fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful activity.
- Verify vehicle condition, documentation, and pricing independently before purchase.
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws including FRSC regulations and import requirements.
4. Listings & Transactions
Vehicle listings are provided by dealers and private sellers. Auto Hookup verifies listings through our
inspection programme but does not guarantee the accuracy of every detail. All sales are between buyer and
seller. Auto Hookup is not liable for disputes arising from vehicle condition, title, or payment unless
covered by a specific Auto Hookup protection programme.
5. Sales Commission & Platform Fees
Auto Hookup operates on a transparent, performance-driven model. By listing and selling a vehicle on the Platform, sellers agree to the following commission policy:
- 2% Standard Commission Rate: A mandatory commission of 2% (two percent) applies to the total final agreed selling price of any vehicle sold through leads, listings, inquiries, or connections generated via Auto Hookup.
- Applicability to All Sellers: This 2% commission policy applies to all registered dealers, private car owners, brokers, and third-party sellers who publish listings on the Platform.
- Payment & Remittance Timeline: The 2% commission becomes legally due upon receipt of payment (full or initial deposit) from the buyer. Sellers are required to declare the transaction as sold and remit the 2% commission to Auto Hookup within 72 hours of transaction completion.
- Direct and Indirect Transactions: Any transaction concluded with a buyer who contacted the seller through Auto Hookup (via phone call, WhatsApp, in-app messaging, website inquiry, or verified listing referral) is recognized as a Platform-facilitated sale and is strictly subject to the 2% commission, regardless of whether final payment is made online or offline.
- Buyer Exemption: Buyers are not charged any commission or finder's fee by Auto Hookup for browsing or purchasing vehicles through the Platform.
- Non-Circumvention & Enforcement: Any attempt to circumvent Platform fees, under-report the actual transaction value, or withhold due commissions constitutes a breach of these Terms. Violations will result in immediate account suspension, permanent removal of all listings, revocation of verified dealer badges, and pursuit of legal remedies under Nigerian law.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including logos, design, text, and software — is owned by Auto Hookup You may
not copy, reproduce, or distribute Platform content without written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auto Hookup shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or
consequential damages arising from use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the
fees paid to Auto Hookup in the 12 months preceding the claim.
